Nazih Hage grew up in Lebanon in a small-town east of Beirut. In 1975, when the Lebanese civil war started, he went to Liberia where his parents lived. After spending three years attending the University of Liberia and enjoying the beautiful West African country, Nazih headed to the United States to complete his studies at the University of Southern California. On his way to L.A., he stopped by Washington D.C. where he caught a flight to Morgantown to visit a friend who was attending WVU. During that flight, Nazih sat next to Dr. Dick Ward, a professor at the WVU Industrial Engineering department. During that short trip, Dr. Ward talked Nazih into attending WVU, and the rest is history.
After graduating from WVU with BS/MS in Industrial Engineering, Nazih joined IBM in January 1982 in Charlotte, NC. He spent the first sixteen years in finance and planning as a Controller/CFO supporting manufacturing, development, sales and managed services organizations. In 1998, Nazih joined the IBM Global Technology Services Executive team where he spent the next twenty years managing customer service centers, desk-side support, project managers, delivery executives and client relationships in support of U.S. and European customers. During his tenure with IBM, Nazih moved eight times, including assignments in London and Madrid.
Nazih retired from IBM in September 2018. In January 2019, he accepted an Executive Consulting assignment with Velocity Technology Solution, a private equity owned firm, in Charlotte, NC. In April of that year Nazih accepted a full-time job with the firm as an SVP of Business Operations, where he spent the next two years focusing on Business Operations, Project Management and Client Success. In January 2021, the company was sold, and Nazih went back into retirement where he setup his business consulting company.
Nazih is married, has two boys and loves to play tennis.
